Tonight was crock pot steak tacos with store purchased tortillas. If you read the ingredient list, you can find convenient solutions that are minimally processed.
- One 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes. One 4 ounce can diced green chili.
- One tablespoon homemade taco seasoning.
- One onion, quartered and thinly sliced.
Mix these four ingredients together well and pour into your crock pot. (Or pour in 1/3 and freeze the rest for later use). Add three pounds if meat (chicken breasts/ thighs or beef roast). Cook on low 8-9 hours.
Serve with your favorite tortillas and toppings.
