Anything is better on a summer night than hours in the kitchen cooking then cleaning up. In that spirit, my one pot suppers continue with this evening's Italian Sausage.
In my family, even though we are in the Midwest we do not care for bratwurst (unless it is currywurst). The teenager and I love Italian sausage, but this evening I purchased mild instead of hot in deference for the youngest.
As was expected, when she viewed the pot of green peppers, sweet onions and vine ripened tomatoes cooking along with the sausages she screwed her nose up with an "Ewwwwwww".
