It also helps to make a great dish if you can read and follow a recipe; and to know when to modify if the recipe is ridiculous and full of nonsensical instructions. I don't have anyone to wash dishes for me. Nor is this my first time stir frying. The recipe below is pretty much the one from pinterest, but written for those of us who cook.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 1" piece of ginger, minced or grated
- The peel and juice of one ginormous orange
3 boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cubed and tossed with 2 tablespoons corn starch. Set aside.
1 bag frozen mixed stir fry vegetables, drained in a colander until thawed. (you can speed this along by running hot water over the vegetables)
Heat your wok until hot. Add one tablespoon peanut oil. Stir fry the chicken in three batches, removing to a paper towel lined plate as your go. You may need to add a bit more oil between the batches and that is Okay.
Once the chicken is cooked and on the paper towel lined plate, add one more tablespoon peanut oil to the wok. Add the vegetables and stir fry about two minutes. Add the chicken and stir fry about one minute. Add the sauce and stir fry another two minutes. Turn off the heat.
Serve some of the chicken, vegetables and sauce over cooked rice.
That is it. Delicious week night supper with some leftovers for Mom's lunch.
