The bread was a homemade loaf from the farmer's market; sliced, smeared with butter/olive oil and toasted until crusty gold goodness. Next time I will slice the bread thinner; these thick slices were almost too much to get the mouth around to take a bite. Plus, thinner slices means more slices which means more opportunities to eat more bruschetta.
90% was eaten this evening. I will use any remainder to cook into a sauce for pasta or to spoon over chicken - or beef - or fish. The bruschetta was that delicious. I cannot wait to make it again.
