A couple of tips I have utilized over the years to help my kids eat more fruits and vegetables.
1) Take them with you to the grocery store, or market, or farmers market, or wet market, or backyard garden ... and let them help select the produce for the upcoming meals. Teach them your methods for selection; whether that means thumping melons or checking apples for bruises. When they have chosen the fruits and veggies that appeal to them, they are more likely to eat it when they get home. * Case in point; the pint of late season raspberries that my youngest couldn't wait to take to school the next day in her lunch!
This evening, while we prepped, we ate. We ate a bit of everything and all of it was raw. It was a great time spent in the kitchen exploring the taste and texture of our bounty.
