Turkey, mushrooms and onions sauteed in butter, then rouxed with some flour. Next add one half quantity cream or milk and one half quantity chicken stock until you have about three cups of sauce. Taste and adjust your seasonings.
Let this simmer and bubble in the pan while you cook a pound of spaghetti or linguini in well salted water. (The salt flavors the pasta. The salt does not make the water boil faster. If you want the water to boil faster, put a lid on the pot to retain heat.)
