We met at the Bliss on the west side of Rockford's downtown district, headed past the block party that was set up and the subsequent closing three of the Westside downtown street. There was a huge stage and plenty of outdoor seating, it looked to be a good time. But we were looking for quite. So to the Eastside we went.
After last evening's debacle, I needed a great pizza to remind me that delicious homemade dining can be had in a restaurant setting. We ordered two specialty pizzas, each a small 10" in diameter. Perfect for sharing. Above is the Cajun shrimp and bacon. It had some heat, a good cracker crust on the edge with a softer middle.
Happy, happy Saturday.
